Additions and Alteration. (Design Stage)

Situated on an elevated hillside on the Central Coast, this passive solar extensions bends to capture views and sunlight all year round. 

With a modest budget, dictating the construction method remained lightweight. Therefore the best insulation details and thermally broken, double glazed windows were installed to help maintain the house’s passive solar approach. Under the deck a 10,000L rainwater tank harvest the roof water used for the whole of house.  A solar hot water system with electric boost provides the domestic hot water.
